SUMMER IN ATKA BAY

In 2022 (Nov-Dec) I returned to Atka-Bay in order to lead an expedition for a large streaming content provider. We were filming two sequences for upcoming programs revolving around water and heat, with the emperor penguins as our protagonists. I was acting as expedition leader, camera assistant and photographer. Even though the austral winter is unmatched in terms of moods, light and harshness, the summer can be equally exciting. Here is a very small selection of the images which I took during the five weeks that we were in the field.
